La Mer Wellbeing offers educational and wellbeing classes to students in Kindergarten to Year 6.
Our educational lessons are one-to-one and are personalised to meet your child's individual needs. In conjunction with the Australian Curriculum and Christina Aloisio's C.R.E.A.T.E Appreciation for Learning Theory every lesson addresses creative and critical thinking to provide a rounded approach to learning. This type of approach and guidance instills confidence in our students, which as a result maximises their academic potential.
At La Mer Wellbeing we value the wellbeing of all our students regardless of age. Our complimentary wellbeing classes that are held twice a week promote goal setting strategies, nutrition and most importantly an appreciation for learning. We have found that these classes also help our students even at a young age to be critical thinkers and engage in challenges that contribute to their positive psychology and wellbeing.
NAPLAN for Years 3 & 5
Students in Years 3 and 5 will sit for the National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) in May of each academic year, with results released in August. The test is created in accordance with the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) and is designed for students to demonstrate what they have learnt in the academic year. Four tests are conducted for Years 3 and 5 students:
At La Mer Wellbeing we understand that NAPLAN can be challenging and daunting for some students, which is why we have specialised workshops and lessons during the term and school holidays (by demand) that work to help students understand the layout of the test, improve the level of students performance and alleviate any pressure or stress relating to what should be a positive experience.
